When he asked us where we were from we told him where we were visiting from since that's where the Army put us. The guy working the register must have been the owner/proprietor because there were pictures of him and his family plastered all along the wall. The muffins were mass produced any way so it wouldn't be that hard. My advice is just to throw a quick piece of cling wrap over them all and you'll be set. Ya see, the entire time I was waiting my turn in line, I saw a fly (or multiple flies) land on the fruit and muffins over twenty times. My family wanted to take fruit and/or muffin, but after giving them ALL "the look", they decided against it. You can select fresh fruit, muffins, bottled juices, sodas or coffee on your way down the road. Lady (or guy) behind said lunch counter will yell obscure instructions on how to get your provisions and you waddle down the line. I'm going to be a GOOD Yelper and tell you that when you walk in you are facing the confusing lunch counter. It'll be okay," and for the most part, it really was. My hubby, a Soldier, said, "it's not that serious. I started to spazz to the point I pulled out my phone and started yelping to find another spot to go to. Like, lady behind the counter is yelling at you directions on how to navigate this joint, lunch counter. Like, slide your little plastic, brown tray along the sliver bars, lunch counter. I had flashbacks of the lunch lady at elementary school. So, I literally walked into this place and froze. The cramped and crowded atmosphere is the only reason I didn't give this restaurant a 5 star rating. Everything is great about this place, that's why it's always cramped and crowded. Six people in our party, we ate for around $70 to give an idea about cost. ![]() The waitresses are attentive, kind, smiling and always come around to fill your coffee / drink. They don't slap the meal on your tray as you go through the buffet line, you get your own drinks and find a seat.if you can! They bring your fresh made, awesome breakfast out to you. ![]() The knock on the place would be if you don't get into buffet-style line, and the restaurant is cramped beyond belief. My wife bought homemade biscuits and gravy, yes, I ate a lot of her's too. Their salty ham steak is to die for!! Hash browns are fresh and amazing. The last time here I bought the blueberry / pecan pancakes, yes, get them! Eggs are eggs, but the always cook them perfect. ![]() Sign of a great restaurant: the owner runs the cash register, she's sweet and funny and runs Stack 'em High with pride! The cooks, you can watch them, are making some tasty victuals back there! The pancakes are outstanding.
